PSR Mildred Weinstein, a member of Neptune Temple of
Brooklyn, New York. has passed away. Mildred's
Pythian life was an exemplary one. It began in the
late 1960's when she joined Claremore Temple, in
Manhattan. Mildred was elected Grand Secretary of
the Jurisdiction of New York in 1985 and served
until 1990.
Recently, she became a dual member of Bright Star
Temple in Florida. It is said that no one person is
indispenable, and that is true, but one can be
irreplaceable, and that was Mildred Weinstein.

P.S.R. Sir Cecil Labow, Syracuse Lodge #9, Domain of
Quebec, joined our order in 1947, after proudly
serving Canada in the Second World War. He
experienced the pain and horror of war and knew when
he returned his mission was to promote friendship,
charity and benevolence.
The list of Cecil’s Pythian achievements in the
Domain of Quebec is a very long and impressive one,
such as the establishment of the Quebec Pythian
Cemetery Association. He supervised very carefully
to ensure that it’s a first class Jewish Orthodox
Cemetery, and all laws of the Jewish religion are
strictly obeyed and observed.
His greatest achievement was the founding of the
Jewish Hospital of Hope, a senior’s hospital in
Montreal. He was involved when the land was
purchased, and he watched as it was built, raising
millions of dollars to transform this hospital into
a first class seniors’ residence. McGill University
recognizes the Hospital as one of their best
teaching hospitals for geriatric research.
May his family be spared all future sorrow.

I must report, with great sadness, the death of PGC
Robert Mustarde. He was a member of Ft Worth #101 ,
a close friend of mine and was one of the old
members of the Red Cross lodge in Ft Worth. He
served as Grand Chancellor from 1991 to 1992.

Dale Vickness was a member of Plantation Roosevelt
Lodge #177. He has served the Lodge as CC and DGC.
He was elected to Grand Lodge office and served the
Grand Lodge of Florida through all of the chairs,
becoming Grand Chancellor in 1991-1992. Dale served
on most all of the Grand Lodge of Florida committees
and was always there for a helping hand. He was
loved and respected by all who knew him and he will
be sorely missed
